Five things to ask any electrician.

Ask us too. Here are our answers.

Are you licensed for this work in NSW?

Yes. NSW Electrical Contractors Licence 283200C. It's on every quote and at the foot of every page.

Will I see the price in writing before you start?

Yes. We come and look first, then send a written quote. Once you say yes, the price doesn't move.

Who actually turns up?

One of the two of us. If your job needs a specialist, like a Level 2 service provider for the meter, we tell you first and organise them.

Do I get a certificate when it's done?

Yes, for any work NSW requires to be certified: a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW).

Can I read what other people say about you?

Yes. 133 reviews on Google, averaging 5.0.

Two trades. One visit if you need both.

A fan system needs power, so most ventilation installers bring in an electrician. We are the electricians.

The price we quote is the price you pay.

  1. 1

We come and look. Under the house, in the roof, at the board. We take photos as we go.

  2. 2

You get the quote in writing, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

  3. 3

Once you say yes, the price doesn't move. If we open something up and find a real surprise, we stop, show you, and quote it before we go any further.

“I've already got brick vents.”

So why is it still damp under there? Try it.

Air comes in, has nowhere to go, and sits. Damp ground keeps adding moisture faster than it leaves.

How we treat your house.

  1. We text when we're on our way.
  2. Shoe covers on, or shoes off, at the door.
  3. A drop sheet goes down before a tool comes out.
  4. We photograph what we find and send it to you.
  5. We tell you before the power goes off, and for how long.
  6. We test everything and show you it works.
  7. We clean up before we leave, inside and out.
  8. Your compliance certificate arrives without you asking.

Two of us. That's the whole team.

Brían runs Inspire and Brendan works alongside him. Whoever comes to look at your job is who comes to do it. There's no sales rep. If your job needs a specialist, like a Level 2 service provider for the meter or an air conditioning installer, we tell you first and organise them. We started as electricians, and we added ventilation because we kept finding the same damp problems under the houses we were wiring.

Reviews

They were punctual, helpful and friendly. Got the job done exactly like they said they would. I would recommend them to anyone!

Jean-Paul N.

They were both great to deal with, really knowledgeable, honest and easygoing… gave good, practical advice without being pushy or trying to upsell anything.

Nelson H.

The air feels fresher inside and have not seen any further signs of mould.

Questions

I've already got brick vents. Why is it still damp under there?

Brick vents only work when wind happens to push air through them, and many are now partly blocked by decks, paving or garden beds. A fan system moves the air every day, whatever the weather.

Will it get rid of the musty smell?

If the smell is coming from damp under the floor, moving that air out is what fixes it. We'll tell you at the look if we think the cause is something else.

Do you do the electrical for the fans too?

Yes. We're licensed electricians, so the power, the controller and the fans are all one job and one quote.

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. Once you've accepted the written quote, that's the price. If we find a genuine surprise, we stop and show you before doing anything extra.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. Tell us about the building and we'll come and look.

How soon can you come and look?

Usually within five days.

Tell us about your house.

A few details and we'll call you back to book a time to look.
